The High Court of Karnataka has adjourned the hearing to 11-04-2011 on the petition filed against Akrama Sakrama.
A group of citizens has challenged the scheme of Akrama Sakrama on the ground that the scheme would pave way for haphazard growth of the urban area.
I am also closely watching the developments in the High Court. Will update soon with more and better information.

I heard it is posponted yet again to 18'th. True? What could be the reason and also what result do you see in this case?
Dear Satish,
1. Yes. The hearing got adjourned. The reason is that the matter did not reach for hearing before the honourable Judge. I have asked my close friend Advocate Mr.Prasanna to watch the matter in the court and update me to keep affected party informed.
2. I have collected details of all writ petitions being taken up for hearing before the High Court. I am really afraid whether the governemnt will take strong defence and right stand.
3. I feel that affected citizens should form an organisation/forum and represent before the High Court and defend the scheme.
Did this hearing happen today?
Dear V5,
1. It is further adjourned to 20-06-2011.
2. You may follow the progress of the case in the official website of High Court of Karnataka. For more details go to karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in
3. The important writ petition number is W.P.14437/2007. There are many other connected matters like 16439/2007, 18660/2007 etc.
